It's as delectable as it sounds! This is my go-to for Winter colds. Apple Cider Vinegar is great and all, but it doesn't have the same comforting, warming effect of Golden Milk (and it definitely does not taste as good).
What make it golden? Turmeric, a magical bright orange root similar to ginger, is an ancient medicine with incredible benefits. It's an immune booster which makes it great for staving off colds and it is an anti-depressant for chasing away Winter blues.
Here's my personal recipe!
1 cup of almond milk (any milk would work, but almond is my favorite)
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 inch ginger root, chopped
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
Honey to taste
Mix everything in a pot and gently simmer for 5-8 minutes. Strain out the chunky bits and serve hot!
